Departure from the train station to Masegra Castle, crossing Piazza Quadrivio and Scarpatetti to Masegra Hill.

Visit the south tower.

The castle, built by the noble De Capitanei family, vassals of the Bishop of Como, passed through marriage to the Beccaria family of Tresivio. They transformed it into a stately home during the Renaissance.

In the tower, overlooking the city, the umbrella vault features paintings of episodes from Ludovico Ariosto’s poem, Orlando Furioso.
